Business Development Director – New York, NY

Our client has a data-driven platform that provides marketing solutions in the B2C space and they’re building a team of driven, dynamic sales professionals to grow with them as they scale. As an early hire to the sales team, you’ll have the opportunity to inform strategy and craft process. This role demands an experienced hunter with strong book of contacts and the ability to open doors and prioritize while thriving in a variable sales cycle. The right candidate has a deep understanding of digital advertising and experience selling martech or data-driven adtech. With a foundation built on sound technology, this is an opportunity to emerge from the pack.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a pipeline, strategize, and close new clients
  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Listen to existing and prospective clients to identify opportunities to strengthen relationships and consult on product possibilities
  • Maintain relationships with clients and manage post-closing transitions to account management team
  • Communicate feedback to product and engineering teams
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales support to develop strategy and sales collateral, and to provide post-pitch insights

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience selling solutions in the digital ecosystem and a comprehensive knowledge of the space, including behavioral advertising and media buying
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to sell responsively and cultivate long-term relationships built on trust and confidence
  • An upbeat, driven personality that thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and a talent for problem solving
  • Great communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
