Director of Marketing and Advertising Technology

Our client is a top agency in the performance media space and they’re looking for a Director of Marketing and Advertising Technology to join their NY team. As the Director of Marketing and Advertising Technology, you’ll develop and execute on the technical roadmap that provides the tools and analytics for our innovative and quick moving strategic thinkers. The culture of both the company and the industry requires someone who thrives in rapid change, brings a creative approach to problem-solving, and leads with accountability and hands-on knowledge. An important element of this role is the ability to proactively challenge leadership and convention in a tactful way to make ideas better and stronger. This role is for an innovator who is well versed in marketing technology and looking to build a best of breed department and usher in a new era of capabilities around direct marketing and the integration of traditional and future forward methods.


  • Develop and lead a nimble team with a culture of transparency and As an astute leader, you’ll demonstrate adaptability and a fluid approach to priority setting
  • Analyze current marketing technology and lead the recommendations to build implement technology best practices across the organization
  • Identify, assess, negotiate vendor contracts including the custom build of proprietary technology
  • Scale strategy and provide diplomatic “stress-tests” to innovation
  • Collaborate to develop processes and lines of communication for better and more efficient execution
  • Roadmap projects and provide a steady hand to ensure success from inception to completion
  • Train teams in best practices in utilizing technology


  • Hands on technology experience and architectural leadership in enterprise TV and DRTV media buying, analytic and financial systems
  • Systems include CORE, DCM, MediaTrack
  • Experience with data and data analytics of 3rd party data systems such as Nielsen and ComScore
  • Experience with digital video advertising systems such as DFA, YouTube analytics, Facebook and Programmatic bidding systems such as AppNexus
  • Experience overseeing the integration of multiple systems and custom software
  • Experience with Marketing Technology across all channels (programmatic, display, Video, OTT)
  • History of effecting change inside organizations and of using technology as a tool in transitioning into new business models
