Copywriter – FT – US – NY

Our client, a long-standing leader in software technology, is looking for a talented Copywriter to join their fast-growing team. The role requires a general knowledge of SEO best practices alongside writing and editing copy for a variety of projects including landing pages, digital ads, social media, email, and short video. As Copywriter, you’ll work across the organization to support internal initiatives and conduct research and interviews to understand the products, service, branding, and marketing goals. The ideal candidate has a keen sense of curiosity and creativity with the ability to write clean, compelling copy that connects with the audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write compelling, clear copy that drives brand vision and encourages audience engagement
  • Edit content for a range of corporate marketing and communications materials
  • Review social media posts to ensure brand voice and content strategy are aligned
  • Proofread written work and online content
  • Collaborate internally to participate in the brainstorming and conceptual development process and contribute creative strategies
  • Vary voice, style, and point of view based on product, target audience, and project goals
  • Stay updated on relevant style guidelines and consistent brand messaging
  • Conduct research to understand target audience
  • Stay on the cutting edge of industry trends
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and test digital ad copy for paid media campaigns
  • Manage website content and provide copywriting support for promotional materials
  • Present copy concepts and final deliverables to teams
  • Use feedback and direction to revise copy

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS Degree or relevant working experience
  • 3-5+ years of relevant copywriting experience, preferably with an agency
  • Superior writing and editing skills with demonstrated experience in conceptual writing in marketing/advertising, web, product, promotional copy, and brand messaging
  • Working experience in marketing, advertising, or PR campaigns, and social media preferred
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear copy that audiences can understand 
  • Excellent project management skills with experience managing day-to-day changes
  • Self-starter with AdTech/Martech experience or understanding of the Adtech space
