Corporate Counsel – New York, NY

Our client, an exciting data play, requires a corporate counsel for their legal team to advise on legal matters, provide dedicated support to the revenue teams, and build relationships with stakeholders. Reporting to the GC and VP of Privacy, this role is crafted with a personable, self-directed individual in mind. The company culture is fast-paced and entrepreneurial, and they’re open to remote work situations. Experience in the digital space is required.


  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and serve as legal support for revenue team
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including data licensing agreements, data protection agreements, SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, NDAs, and strategic partnership agreements
  • Communicate with clients and educate them on applicable legal processes and policies
  • Stay current on changes to policies, laws, and regulations (particularly with regard to digital privacy) and serve as a resource for key partners
  • Work with internal teams to maintain corporate legal infrastructure, company records, and contract management system


  • At least three years of legal experience in SaaS, digital media, at tech, or with a legal firm serving high-growth clients in those industries
  • JD and active membership in at least one state bar
  • Practical knowledge of digital privacy and data protection laws, with an eye to ongoing developments (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Experience drafting and negotiating SaaS, partnership, data licensing, and distribution agreements
  • Flexible and driven mindset, comfortable working with minimal oversight under deadline pressure
  • Willingness to work modified hours to support international teams
