Prohaska Consulting is looking for a Growth Media Associate to work within our Global Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be a creative team contributor who will develop and spearhead proactive earned media strategies and tactics in the EMEA region. The candidate will assist with earned and owned media for Prohaska Consulting with the explicit goal of raising awareness and amplifying the brand in both regional and select international markets. This role will report to the Global Client Strategy and Marketing Lead.

A clever communicator, the Growth Media Consultant will deliver a mix of strategy and execution to ensure public relations initiatives deliver against targets established within annual marketing plans. Working alongside the full marketing team, the Growth Media Consultant will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with traditional and emerging media outlets including but not limited to editors, freelance writers, reporters, bloggers, niche publishers, and influencers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Focusing on Earned Media – PR, Promotions, Event coordination
  • Develop and own an integrated marketing strategy collaborating with Executive staff and content owners
  • Pitch and secure placements in select publications as it pertains to business objectives
  • Develop and understand metrics and goals, and report progress to executive leadership

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7+ years of professional experience in public relations, journalism, or a related field
  • Has a firm grasp on the media landscape, current trends and issues, along with public relations best practices
  • Hons Degree in English, journalism, communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Work successfully within a cross-functional, interdisciplinary, research-driven, and goal-focused environment
  • Superior interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including the ability to establish cooperative working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, partners, and members of the media
  • Must be an effective writer and storyteller
  • Proven success in running earned media campaigns that deliver measurable results
  • Superior organizational skills—must be able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent project management, analytical, communication, and diplomacy skills
  • Must be meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Proven success in managing all variety of media relations, including niche, regional and national outlets, by cultivating strong relationships and strategically identifying opportunities
  • Self-motivated with a solutions-oriented attitude

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

This is a part-time position located in the UK, with regular meetings within the UK and Europe expected by end Q3/Q4 2021. The role is currently virtual.
