Business Development VP – Supply Side Platform

OVERVIEW
Our client, a best of breed ad tech player is launching a supply side software platform for publishers that is global in scope and revolutionary to the industry. We are now seeking an experienced VP Business Development to spearhead their growth in North America and help their clients succeed in their digital brand advertising efforts. We are looking for a thought leader who is well versed in the ad tech ecosystem, a dealmaker, and a talented manager. You are a respected authority in ad tech with a demonstrable history of expanding solutions for Brands, DSPs, Publishers, and Agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead VP & C-Level engagement at DSPs, brands, agencies and publishers
    • Develop deep understanding of clients’ business and marketing objectives, marketing stack, workflows, and needs through in-person and remote meetings
    • Penetrate large & complex organizations to drive adoption of our supply side platform
    • Drive holistic success of your accounts as measured by revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction
    • Develop business plans to penetrate and maximize the opportunities within your accounts to develop a sustainable and recurring book of business
    • Educate and evangelize programmatic media selling and our platform
    • Drive thought leadership by developing and presenting case studies; may involve editorial authorship and public speaking opportunities
    • Coordinate / functionally manage an account team to drive executional excellence (strategy without execution has no value)
    • Manage and develop a small team of consultative sellers and business development executives

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Proven track record of leading a team and growing a $15M+ book of business
    • 8+ years of experience in the digital media landscape
    • Ability to cultivate enduring partnerships with senior executives at DSPS, brands and agencies VP and above
    • Well versed in programmatic
    • TV buying / selling experience and/or DOOH experience is a plus
    • Expertise in the Ad technology and digital media competitive marketplace
    • Exceptional analytical, organizational, communication and presentation skills
