Programmatic Account Manager – NY, SF, Remote

The Role:

Our client is a leading digital source for non-partisan political news and information. They seek a seasoned account manager with deep, demonstrable expertise in programmatic. The ideal candidate is a dynamic but thoughtful innovator, capable of developing tailored custom solutions for agencies and brands and and provide world class support to the programmatic sales team and their customers. As the first account manager on the programmatic sales team, this person will embrace ambiguity and craft new processes to manage pre and post-sale sales activity. Troubleshooting, reporting, and optimizing programmatic deals is also a major component. This person would also be a key leader in driving post-sale activity and upselling campaigns, and will partner closely with various internal teams to develop revenue-driving ideas, creative solutions and collateral in support of the advertising sales team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Account Management or Sales Development experience, preferably in the programmatic media space
  • Experience in creating proposal decks, pulling audience insights, analyzing PMP performance, and working directly with advertiser or agency clients
  • Knowledge and passion for the programmatic and ad tech space, with an understanding of how brands buy programmatic media (DSP, SSP, Ad Server, Measurement/Verification, 1P/3P data, etc)
  • Strong ability to analyze campaign performance and make operational optimizations
  • Knowledge of what works well in a mobile app or news environment, both from a consumer and digital media industry point of view
  • Strong creative mind. Be able to think out of the box (and inside it too) when clients need it, with a knack for writing marketing copy
  • Detail-oriented, thrives while multitasking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an idea for design and a flair for unique storytelling
  • Good judgment and ability to work independently
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a strong sense of urgency
  • Positive attitude and energetic
