Senior Account Executive, Performance Sales – US – NY

The Role:

Our client is a leading digital source for non-partisan political news and information. They seek a Senior Account Executive to take on developing an advertiser pipeline and sales. This is a key role for the Direct Sales Team and you will be reporting directly to the Head of Performance Sales in the US. You will be responsible for developing revenue generating relationships with both agencies and brands. This role will be responsible for owning 2022 revenue targets and helping the brand evolve into a direct response solution for US clients of all sizes.  


  • Own entire sales process from prospecting to completion of the sales to maintaining the sales pipeline
  • Meet or exceed revenue goals and targets by selling standard and premium ad inventories to agencies/brands
  • Identify clients’ needs and create and provide them with customized solutions
  • Gather feedbacks from the clients to assist improving our ad services and products
  • Research competitors’ ad services, products and pricing
  • Coordinate with supporting functions of ad such as Account Manager, Yield Manager, Business Operations Manager
  • In collaboration with the programmatic sales team, define the right media model and framework for selling direct and programmatic in conjunction, while supporting programmatic sales to connect with agencies and brands


  • 5+ years of experience selling digital media to brands and agencies
  • Extensive contacts and relationships with performance agencies and clients in ECommerce, Gaming and App verticals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Deep understanding of the advertising marketplace with a focus and experience selling 1st party platforms
  • Strong knowledge of interactive advertising with regard to positioning, technology, industry trends and metrics
  • Ability to develop and manage a consistent sales pipeline, and a proven track record of exceeding goals
  • Must be creative, smart, and passionate, as well as a problem solver and a team player
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, “driven to achieve sales goals”
  • Ability to forecast revenue
