Senior Media Buyer (TV) – New York, NY


Our client is looking to add an experienced media buyer to the team. Experience with all types of TV buying (local/national, OTT, cable, broadcast, etc.) will set you ahead of the pack and you’ll be able to leverage a strong analytics foundation and your knowledge of networks to negotiate deals. This role is ideal for an instinctive dealmaker with a great quantitative foundation and an appreciation for engineering, data, and analytics.


  • Develop and maintain relationships with both account executives and leadership at networks and throughout the media industry
  • Through daily contact continuously update inventory pricing and availability
  • Negotiate pricing and purchase TV inventory including OTT, broadcast, cable, and local/national
  • Collaborate with strategy and analytics teams using a strong foundation of data and analytics to develop and execute media buys
  • Participate in meetings as the expert in TV
  • Work with technology and product teams to automate and optimize media-buying


  • At least five years of experience in TV media-buying and established relationships with media companies and networks
  • A passion for TV, including programs, shows, personalities, economic and demographic changes, and competitive activities
  • Great instincts about the TV marketplace, strong numbers skills, and a deep understanding of marketing and sales funnel KPIs
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and embrace new technology and automation
  • Ability to engage with technical teams to enhance tools and learn new software
