Senior Programmatic Buyer (Linear TV & Streaming) – NY

Our client provides data-driven advertising using a range of metrics to help companies optimize their linear and streaming TV campaigns. They’re looking for a talented Senior Programmatic Buyer, preferably located in New York, with a rolodex of senior and junior-level media contacts and a good instinct for spotting trends and opportunities in the marketplace. You’ll work closely with their VP of Media Buying to cultivate best business practices and increase offerings. In this role, you’ll need to work cross-departmentally with teammates of varying levels of technical expertise, so strong communication skills and an ability to perform under pressure are a must. The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter with a head for numbers who can pick up technical concepts and different softwares quickly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Purchase TV inventory of all types including local/national, cable, OTT, broadcast, and specializing in programmatic streaming offerings
  • Build long-term partnerships with TV networks and publishers
  • Act as point of contact for clients, continually updating availability and pricing
  • Collaborate with client strategy and analytics teams
  • Work with technology and product teams to help automate and optimize media-buying, increasing the efficiency and accuracy of media purchases
  • Negotiate competitive prices for clients, overseeing all aspects from setup to execution of single and multi-publisher PMPs
  • Serve as programmatic product expert during client meetings
  • Monitor stations for potential revenue opportunities and changes in marketplace

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 + years of professional media buying experience with a focus on programmatic, including optimizing bid strategies and a demonstrated successful handling of US $30m per year in programmatic streaming
  • Proficient in marketing and sales funnel KPIs
  • Well connected with senior and junior-level media partners
  • Values data, analytics, and engineering and welcomes automation
  • Interest in following advertising and media trends
  • Enthusiastic about TV and streaming from the publisher’s side to favorite shows, programs, and personalities
  • Strong proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel
  • Occasional travel
  • No remote availability
