Our client, a well-known publisher, is looking for a talented VP of Revenue to lead the reinvention of their entire suite of web and mobile monetization products. The role requires a strategic leader with a passion for consumer web products and a proven record of delivering industry-defining visions that meet business goals. As VP of Revenue, you’ll develop data-driven strategies to expand their current business model and drive revenue. The ideal candidate has experience monetizing web traffic and thrives at the crossroads of marketplace needs and innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and deliver data-driven revenue visions, including partner offerings and leading the tech stack
  • Oversee a cross-functional team to define and create ad product requirements
  • Establish clear goals and success metrics to align with company vision and drive maximum impact
  • Identify revenue opportunities through establishing goals and review metrics
  • Proactively identify current and future needs for advertisers and subscribers by developing a roadmap
  • Stay updated on industry developments, including competition, to develop winning strategies
  • Create recommendations by analyzing data, including metrics, customer usage, and viewability
  • Use brand positioning and capabilities to inform PMP sales strategies
  • Leverage existing partnerships with DSPs and Trading Desks
  • Enhance revenue through research and running user testing
  • Lead prospecting efforts of programmatic buyers converting to direct sales
  • Communicate internally regarding current priorities, experiments, and developments across a wide range of audiences
  • Leverage segmentation to create unique ad and subscription products

REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS Degree in relevant field
  • 10 – 15+ years of experience in media, publishing, and/or ad yield
  • Proven leader with experience working with analytics products, including Tableau and Google Analytics
  • Track record of leading post-launch optimizations, including testing strategies
  • Media buying or selling experience
  • Strong media contacts and pitch development experience
  • Working knowledge of multiple monetization strategies, including ads & subscriptions
